CLARE SHARES HER SECRETS OVER A PINT OR TWO AT THE MILL

Wildlife artist Clare Brownlow popped into Holmes Mill for an informal chat and demonstration of her unique craft.

Clare has a long-standing connection with Bowland Brewery, having designed the distinctive logo for the Ribble Valley’s flagship Hen Harrier.

Clare’s eye-catching artwork now adorns the hand pumps and bottles of Bowland’s core range and a selection of the seasonal specials.

Inspired by her passion for natural landscapes, Clare uses natural pheasant feathers to achieve the signature spots and splashes that are the hallmark of her work.

Clare spoke with guests about the unusual approach to capturing nature in paint and got them painting with feathers.
