I openly acknowledge that I stumbled into the brewing world at the awkward age of 18 whilst trying to determine my best options for the future! Since then I have amassed nearly 30 years experience within Brewing and Production covering Quality Control, Brewing, Packaging and Technical Services.
30 years hasn’t dampened my appetite and the move to Bowland Brewery has invigorated my desire for innovation and creative brewing. I’m looking forward to developing new beers with the team and trialling new ingredients whilst maintaining and growing the core brands, the new bar area will allow the customers the opportunity to give direct feedback to the brewing team whilst watching the process from start to finish. I’m hoping to grow the brewing knowledge of the clientele and introduce them to all grain brewing through “meet the brewer” evenings and taster brewing sessions on the pilot plant I would like to install for training and research.
Throughout this period I am also looking to further my own education by taking on board the Diploma in Distilling with a view to introducing this to the brewery in the future.
